Ok, I'm a bit sad, I admit it. I love roads, and regularly think of how sweet it would be to race on those roads, like the TT, just on the roads you know.

So, here are the first two in the wonderous program of Google maps, one in Newcastle, which takes in the city centre and quayside, returning past St. James' Park, one of the cathedrals, a twisty blast through the Dene, up to South Gosforth and returning for a near 2 mile straight, across the start finish line and into what would be a very high speed, very scary 's' bend. In a tunnel.

If you know the toon it will be more interesting, but use of the statellite & terrain functions in Google do help to give an image of its awesomeness.

Newcastle TT

The second one is based around Birtley/Stanley. It's a monster of a course, at nearly 20 miles, but a lot of that is very fast indeed, with some tight technical work up Low Fell and back into the Team Valley Trading Estate. The section up Lobley Hill to Sunniside is simply astonishing, which you will know if you are familar with the road. The sweeping roads to Stanley will be virtually flat the whole way - if you have the balls. There is a Eau Rouge style dip and corner combo just next to Causey Arch which would separate the men from the boys. Roundabouts left in for overtaking opportunities, and slipstreaming galore on the 2.7 mile main straight. Welcome to 200mph club.

Birtley TT

So yeah, they're mine, can you guys give me your offerings? Mr. Green

My late-night (3am or so) TT.

Great at night, no speed cameras around and a major lack of police. Thumbs Up

I used to work in Heaton, I note your route carefully avoids it Thumbs Up

I'll have a crack at the toon one when I get some time. Love town riding, me.

For low bhps its a blast. So many corners that suck you round or could spit you off. Its remembering which one is which. Got it about 95% sussed.
Spoilt for choice round 'ere
