Just looking through my DVD collection whilst having a clear out and it occured to me that maybe some films would have been/faired better if someone else had played the lead or supporting role...

So, name your film and who played the lead or supporting role and who you think should have instead, and why if you like...

So ?...

Not sure on who to replace them, but a lot of films I think are badly cast.

Sean Connery in the hunt for red october, pish.

Jude Law should not have been allowed to attempt an Alfie, cock of the highest order.

Bob Hoskins in enemy at the gates, that whole film had a shocking cast really, never understood why its so popular, but he was the worst.

Michael J Fox, in casualties of war, victim of back to the future success, doesnt seem to fit in anything else.

I don't think kevin costner worked in the untouchables, and sean connery wasnt great either, although he gets raved about for that film and I dunno why.

Nicholas cage in windtalkers, whole film was pap, but he was spectacularly bad.

Bruce willis in any of his funny stuff, whole nine yard or whatever, shouldn't be allowed.

Didn't like De Niro in Jackie Brown, but maybe he was just acting very very well.

Stallone in cop land, although highly praised, didn't fit.

Gene Hackman shocking attempt at a polish high ranking officer in a Bridge too far, only ropey thing about that film casting wise really.

Didn't like Ewan mcgregor as Obi wan kenobi, but everyone else did, and Annakin in 2 and 3 was a massively talentless tosser.

Oh and probably little known because it was so shit as a direct result of the casting of a bunch O'cunts, Wing Commander.

Ahhhhhhhh, thats better. Go forth and make less shitty casting decisions... I really can't say who should have been in their places, requires much more thought, and the disappointing realisation of https://board.koffer.ee/files/what_has_been_seen_cannot_be_unseen_695.jpg

One surprising thing that I thought would be terrible, but actually was good, was Di Caprio in the Aviator. Thumbs Up

Stallone as Judge Dredd...maybe someone like Dolph Lungren would have had a more physical presence.

Agree about Bob Hoskins in EATG...terrible. A cockney russian? Nah.

Partially agree about Anakin 2 & 3 - but he did play the petulant, spoiled only-child quite well.

Green street is an awful awful film.

However, most of it is down to casting.

The hobbit - Nuff said.

The guy trying to do a cockney accent who sounds australian.

'The Major', good in hustle, shit at being anyone menacing.

Liam Neeson in Batman Begins. I was like WTF...high rank samurai bad ass?!

Christian Bale as John Conner, didn't seserve it. Didn't cut it.

I agree Obi wan shouldn't have been Ewan.

I thought Stallone was brilliant for Judge Dread, script could have been better! lol

Commando - starring Emilio Estevez, with Queen Latifah playing the female lead.

Forrest Gump starring Steven Segal as Forrest and Ru Paul as Forrest's mom

I jest, of course Wink
