I really need to clean my t-dyno textile jacket.

I spoke to HG and they said i can just remove the protection and then sling it in the washer at 30.

Only problem is i cant figure out how to get the protection out, is it sealed or am i missing the hidden zip or something?

Cheers
Mike

At that temperature you can leave the armour in.I`ve done it with all my textiles and nothings gone wrong.

If you really wanna take the armour out there``ll be some pockets on the inside somewhere with either velcro or zip fasteners.

Might do that if i dont find out where to remove the armour.

I have been told not to use any detergents, did you use any?

Don't!

You can take the armour out after you remove the inner zip-out section, it's in little pockets.

Missis washed mine and it's no longer waterproof, you need to buy some "nikwax techwash" apparently this will keep it waterproof, mine was just washed with normal soap powder and isn't waterproof anymore which is a pain in the ass.

Cheers

(clean but soggy)

Thats why its not waterproof, because you used soap powder, this is why ive been told not to use anything.

Ive heard about these treating things, but tbh i dont really ride in the rain if i can help it, and have all over waterproofs i always take if i am going to be away a while.

i use everyday "non-bio" washing powder (persil/fairly etc etc) in most of my textiles but that`s coz i don`t rely on them in heavy rain (got a full oversuit for days like that). They still do the job in normal showers so i don`t think it matters all that much.Suppose it depends on the fabric, liner, and shell in different brands though and how much you believe the hype.

I usually buy light coloured textiles too so i have to use proper powder to get all the grime out.Nikwax and similar stuff does sweet F/A for heavy soiling. If your gear`s black (or dark) then there`s no real need to use powders.(maybe stick a little bit in just so you smell clean and fresh
Laughing )
