My car ran out of TAX at the beginning of the month, due to me being a forgetful plank I did not bother getting it taxed until the weekend!!! Until this morning had not put the new tax disk on display Rolling Eyes

Anyway yesterday I was on my way into work, there was a silver Astra van with a red and orange stripe down it parked up (not a Police vehicle). It had some sort of small tubular camera in front of it with an LED board next to it saying Vehicle Check. Now as I was approaching, it flashed up saying TAX!! I was thinking WTF is this about.

Anyone know what/who it was?

ANPR van....

Could be that your tax has not filtered through the system and onto their database.
From watching a police program last night, it appears that the details are stored on hard drives in the cars/vans. So if they have not been updated, they will not show a recent purchase.
