I brought my gsxr-400 gk71f about 8 months and was it was in need of a major overhaul,
Well overhaul complete only needing a front tyre valve, bigger number plate, rear brake adjustment and a break light switch changing its passed its mot woooooo !!!!!!

Now for the really annoying bit,
Being a 400cc bike its gotta have its neck rung to get the best from it. Im finding that its killing my wrist due to the large amount of travel in the throttle sometimes even taking a second handful to get full throttle so i dont end up with my wrist bent right back ,

Is this something im going to have to live with or does anyone know of a cure ? ?

There is no play in the throttle ie as soon as u touch the throttle it rev's,
Any help would be great
thanks

Google "quick action throttle", you can essentially make the radius of where the throttle cable runs larger, so you get more cable movement for the same amount of twist.

I think there was a DIY solution here somewhere.

Have you tried starting your wrist further up the throttle before you're going to pull it on to 'go for it'?

Been meaning to stick a post up about doing this generally, as it can make quite a difference to your riding.

And my advice on the suggestions in the above linked post still stands, too.

Will give it a try,
Im just finding that i cant use the full throttle range....
ie when filtering traffic on A roads in traffic moving around 40-50mph where you are always on and off the throttle so grabbing extra bit of throttle is ok until you wanna pull in behind a slow cage waiting for the next clear bit to blip by
if you get my meaning,
Think im gonna go down the quick response throttle road maybe try the zip tie method if it works bonus no more aching wrist
