I've already asked this same question in the Touring section but things don't tend to get many views/replies in there so...

Can anyone recommend a half decent hotel or bed and breakfast in Amsterdam? We are calling by the place for a night out on the way back from our Nurburgring trip and need to book somewhere to stay. Preferably, well almost certainly we need it to be able to accomdate a handful of bikes and a car or two, anyone got any good ideas?

I quite like this place.

https://www.hoteliers.com/aalsmeer/hotel-aalsmeer/

Its a bit away from amsterdam, but not far away, and its in quite a nice area, with a supermarket not far away.

It bills itself as 4 star, but i think 2 to 3 is more accurate. its about €70 a night.

In amsterdam, hotel ibis is quite nice, but a bit more pricey.

edit: wrong website to say just look at the hotel thread Rolling Eyes

Amsterdam hotels...

Flying Pig (uptown & downtown)
Quentin Hotel
Quentin Arrive
Bulldog (don't even think about buying weed from them!!!)
Green House Effect
Singel Hotel

There's lots of places on Harlemmerstraat, on Damrak, and around the Leidseplein.

Go Green House Effect if you can, they've got the best weed, even if the owner is a cock.

There are lots of multi story car parks around the town, you won't have a problem parking as long as vehicles are 'normal' sized. ie don't try and park a massive 4x4 in amsterdam cos it just doesn't work Laughing

There is a Formule1 hotel just outside of town, about a 20 minute bus ride away if I remember correctly. There is a big car park, not secure parking but there is some out of sight for the bikes.
