Hi. Well, I'm totally brand new to these forums so hi to anyone and all. I have a 53 plate GSXR600 and just yesterday my girlfriend bought a 53 plate Aprilia rs125 as her first bike. I had one of these years ago and was quite happy when I heard. I rode it back from bath last night (60-70 miles) and it was fine. Woke up this morning and the entire contents of teh tank has spilled out over the drive!!! I left teh fuel tank on position "on" and did not turn it to "off", however, I don't recall having to do that to my last Aprilia. Would anyone know if this was THE main issue and have a been a total prat on this occasion? If so, it's given me (and my mates) a few laughs this evening then......

Second question is, does anyone know of any meeting points in Berkshire / Buckinghamshire area that I can go to with my girlfriend as she is keen to start exploring the biking communitee now that she has her (CBT) stripes and I am trying to find something suitable for her. ;-) Thanks all and any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to talking.
Rgds

Hartford Marina is a reasonably large meet, that's Tuesday night, but may be a little too much of a ride.

Join the Bedfordshire Bikers FB group, they do meets most nights of the week, and list most of them too.

O, and it could be pissing out fuel because of a sitcky float or something. Turning the fuel tap to off will stop it, but won't solve the real issue.

Hey, cheers. Where do I go / how do I join the Bedfordshire Group? Will probably end up calling a garage in Taplow and booking the bike in - sadly I prefer the social side to the nuts and bolts.

Common with RS125's it seems, mine used to do it if left in the on position on even a slight incline or decline like on my drive if it wasnt turned off it would keep supplying the carb by gravity and piss all over the floor, forgot once at work, made it a nice walk to the petrol station and taught me good Laughing

53 plate is '03 right?
GSXR's were FI from K1 onwards.
my guess is a perished fuel hose, or a hole in your tank, or a perished fuel pump seal.

September '03 to March '04.

Irrelevant really when we're talking about an RS125, not a GSXR.

My NSR125 (similar bike) used to do that, was due to something in the carb sticking, I just used to turn the tap to off when I stopped, solved the issue till I got round to cleaning up the carb.
