i was just wondering if people could help me with how to best maintain this bike what products to use for engine and chain and where to buy the products from. including where to get good parts from.
I also would be greatful for anyones views on this bike.
And information on what i will need to do to pass and even the process of futher tests.
Many thanks

cbr125 is a great bike to do your test on. as its a more sporty bike they will allow you to do a u-turn in a bigger road.
i did my test on a cbr125 and the road i did the u-turn on was like 2 feet wider than the usual road.
pretty easy to maintain,
chain lube from any autoshop (halfords)
change oil every 2500 miles will keep the engine in great condition.
check chain tension & tyre pressure weekly (like every sunday evening)
check other fluids monthly (engine oil, brake fluid etc..)
as long as you can ride safely you will be able to pass your test..
practice as many lifesavers & mirror checks as you can before your test.
lifesaver everytime you change lanes or set off from a standstill.
indicate properly. (mirror, signal, lifesaver, manouver, cancel signal)
hope this helps a bit . Carl. |

If you want to go on and pass your test I would suggest getting at least half a day of tutition just so you know what the examiner is looking for and to iron out any bad habits you may have.
On the maintainence front just keep the chain lubed and chuck it in for a service/do what the Haynes/Worshop manual says. ____________________ My Flickr |
