I went to see this today:

Autotrader Link

It is absolutely mint, not a scratch on it, and totally standard except for bungs. 1 owner and full history.

A really nice bike but i think it is a bit pricey, especially since they only offered me £2500 for mine, other dealers are offering £3000.

What do you think? Is it worth the extra due to its condition?

Remember that a very shiny bike can often be achieved by paying a 'professional' some money to go over it in detail. (Or leave it in near craigs23 Razz) Most small scratches can be got out with a bit of time.
As a summer job when I was 17 I worked in a car garage. We spent more time cleaning cars than fixing; especially making sure the windows were really shiny, which was what *really* sold the cars most!

might just be the shitty photos but the nose cone looks like its been resprayed (badly) - clutch side. Is this place in the Bradford area? I went and viewed a few bikes here and a place called Highline - i wasnt impressed with their bikes or their prices tbh. In particular Highline was like a knackers yard. Full of accident damaged bikes - most with no repairs up for sale at top end prices.

True, but not many of their bikes were this clean, cant see why they would go to the effort on 1 bike.

Plus only 3K miles, barely run in!

I see what you mean about the pic, but it looked fine in person.

If you know bradford its near the top of cooper lane, towards wibsey. Been there 2 years now but first time i've been.

Just tell them you want 3k for your bike. It up to them then. Its only a photo but that paint looks completely original.

Just about all used bikes are overpriced in dealers. They`ve got the luxury of being able to hold them for a while and wait for the money....unlike private sellers.
if that was a private sale you`d probably be able get it for about 3.5 or so if the seller needed the money quick.

sold my limited edition 6rr last year for 4k and within 3 days it was on the dealers website for 5.3 in the same condition. It`s not there anymore so i guess someone bought it.
I think it`s true what they say....a bike`s worth whatever YOU are willing to pay for it if you like it enough.

Also, dealers have to make a hell of a lot of money to just stay afloat, before making profit. Operating costs are going to be at least in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.
So you're paying for the salesman's salary, the rent for the shop, electricity, their advertising in MCN etc.
While with a private sale, you're paying maybe thirty quid if they've used a paid advert somewhere.

.

All you can do is offer and hope, just be prepared to walk away if they won't come to some deal.

You could put a deposit and sell your privately and hope to get more than they offer. You might get a far better price for a cash sale.

Remember if a dealer offers a P/X price that is high, he is making a large profit on the bike to cover it.

Checking Here shows a value of £5300 for the bike in the add, so that could explain their low p/x value.

Thanks for the advice, i aren't going until this afternoon because my uncles at work this morning.

In theory, i can afford to sell my bike privately and pay for this one cash, but i dont think i can really be bothered with the hassle of a private sale and storing 3 bikes in the garage would be impossible, something would get damaged.

The value varies, one site said £3800, parkers said the price it was up at and that site says £5300

Its a bike i want, i'll probably end up getting it knowing me. Its not expensive considering how clean it is.

Boguht it Very Happy

Even my uncle said it was too good to miss and he doesn't like sports bikes.

Paid £1650 with 12 months tax in the end, tbh i was willing to go up to £1600 and this works out the same with the tax.

Pick it up next Saturday, cant wait Laughing
