Crashing at 75ish

Long story short:
Borrowed friends bike, a little bit stoned, uninsured, woke up in ambulance, was probably doing between 65 and 80. Gilera DNA 180
Wearing trackies, trainers, a jacket which is now just bits of cloth.

These three were the worst parts, both knees were filled with gravel and melted trackies, my ankle had quite a large hole where it had just dragged across the road(my trainers were absolutely untouched)

The helmet, you probably can't see the damage in detail as they're small pics but it is well and truly fucked, it cracked in two places and thankfully it did it's job in saving my life.

Crashing at 70 on a scooter will hurt just as much as crashing on a 1000cc sports bike. Next time don't bother wearing trackies, you might as well ride nude.

If you dont like wearing proper gear, you can buy protective jeans that have armour.

The road rash looks nasty, you will have some nice scars from that. I have scars on both knees from injuries like that from getting nocked off my 400 wearing jeans.

Why the hell did you ride uninsured on a mates bike and crash it? There is a reason why you need to pass a test before you ride anything bigger than a 125. You have just proved this perfectly.

Just another statistic and bad name against bikers in general.

It's great that you all get so excited over someone breaking the law, I'm not going to call you sad, you're all right, I was a complete knobhead for doing it, but if all of you who are spitting your dummy out because I rode uninsured, are you going to tell me that you haven't ever been on a bike that isn't insured to you? If so, you're either a liar or you have no friends.

I ride a moped so I'm not going to ride around on a 100cc moped in leathers.

Thanks for all of the non-dumbass responces though, and I've been looking for some protective clothes that I can wear on a moped and not look like an idiot.

And no, I got away with it off the police, I paid the bike damage off (£225) and my knees are fine. Cheap lesson learned I'd say
