Whilst on my way to Mt Rushmore a couple of days ago I decided to stop off in Deadwood for lunch and found the place over run with bikes and bikers. When I asked what was going on I was told it was the annual Dakota Black Hills bike rally and that if I thought Deadwood was busy I should go to Sturgis (20 miles away) as that was the central point.

I kid you not, there must have been at least 2000 people in town with 1000 bikes and this was the overflow ! I passed through another town a little later and it was just as packed, as was every roadside bar/restaurant I went past.

In any case I thought people might be interested in some pictures from the event. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the woman riding pillion in just a bikini and a pair of boots, but believe me when I say I very much approved, despite the safety considerations !

Was the "Model Railroad Display" (picture 1) any good?

All that leather and studs is just wrong. In a fetish club it is fine, on a bike it is appalling.
