I recently bought a new helmet. It fits me well, it's comfortable, quiet at low speeds, allows fairly unrestricted vision and plenty of ventilation when required.

The problem is that there's a significant draught at motorway speeds.
It appears to be caused by the top of the visor on both sides not touching the seal. I've removed the visor and adjusted the hinge positions, but it won't move far back enough.

Is there an effective, neat method of improving the seal? I'd thought of trying adhesive draught excluder, but it could be tricky to do a neat job.

A lot of people swear by bob Heath stuff for anything lid related.

These any good for you?

I was going to get some for mine but it's pointless now as I bashed the lid in the crash I had.

Or run a thin line of silicone gel (some helmets come with silicone gel in the box (arai)).

See if a local bike shop has any, and just bead it round where you want to seal Thumbs Up

At Lunchtime I visited the local hardware emporium and purchased some black adhesive weather strip and a roll of POWER duct tape.

I then fitted the weather strip down the sides of the visor (big gaps) and layed-down strips of POWER duct tape to build up the seal around the top of the visor.

the visor now sits against the duct tape and weather strip. I'll see if there's much improvement on the way home and add duct tape to suit.
