Been chatting with the missus, and sorta bullying her into coming camping with me in the next few weeks.

Had a gander at the "Three Passes" thread and have been looking for a biker friendly camp site that has pitches for tents nearby.
Oh and she is insisting on a hot shower to.

Any recs from you lot?

Hi

I've yet to find a bike unfriendly camp site, just find out that looks nice and takes tents, and you should be fine.

Do you still go on NWB?

Tina & Liam went to one last year that looked great from the pics and seemed good from the write-up as well.

Can't remember where it was or what it was called though!

National Trust site at Langdale, not cheap but good facilities and a decent pub over the road (The Old Dungeon Ghyll)

Last time I was there I called out the mountain rescue which operates from the hut behind the pub.

Friendly pub that serves good whisky.

I seem to remember the Langdale site one time had a rule no more than 3 motorbikes together, not sure how they'd enforce it - if you knew you could split up!

It is a wonderful site though and as mentioned the Dungeon Ghyll pub over the road does good hearty meals designed to keep climbers and hill walkers going - and they are used to muddy boots and waterproofs.
