Just a few pics from silverstone trackday i did on 3rd august.

Too start the day off my mate scott turned up at my house in a swb low roof tranny, which was ok but we needed to get 4 big bikes in it plus all our gear !
Which didnt look like it was gonna happen.

We eventually wedged 3 bikes in the van

but there was one more gsxr1000 to get in!,

cant believe it went in there!

+ i sat in the back on the way up there Laughing

we stayed in a premier inn overnight so we could be at track early the next morning,

overall the weather couldnt have been better really, we met some other friends there so we had about 10 of us in a garage.

I booked in the intermediate group, although i will probably go for the fast group next time as i was still getting held up a fair bit.

had a fun day, out braking rc8's and gsxr1000's into most corners, no near misses for me, i had the back end weave about a bit where i was braking late and hard but its all good fun.

these are just a few of the pics i stole from the photographers website, i have bought them but am yet to receive the cd.

enjoy.

Brave for fitting 4 bikes in there Thumbs Up We squeezed 3 bikes in one of those and were happy with ourselves Smile

Cadwell FTW, it's like a roller coaster from heaven, even the straights are exciting Smile

Tbh I mainly want to do cadwell for the thrill of getting air on the mountain !

I climbed over the gsxr and sat behind it on a bean bag on the way up there. And the r1 only had it's front brake cable tied, it was purely wedged by two ninjas lol

Hardest part of the mountain is keeping the front wheel down Smile but great fun overtaking people who had to chop the throttle due to much wheelie Cool

When I went there, the evening before they had a 'Cruise' night. Basically you pay £10 and you get to ride Cadwell, it's designed for Harleys/Scooters etc, there was no worries over kit as long as you had a helmet/gloves etc, even pillions were allowed. It was at a slow pace, very slow pace but even then a little blip up the mountain the wheel was coming up Smile

Very technical track. We were in the novice group and blooming hell it wasnt slow, there was 1 maybe 2 guys who were your usual 'lap 2-3 times a session' guys but the others were going around at a good pace so it wasnt even a case of getting held up every corner.

As long as the weather is good, you can not but enjoy the place. It'll seem 'a little' narrow compared to Silverstone tho Cool
