Hello All

just wondered if anyone here has come across this problem before...

i've recently just had new pistons, rings + barrel changed on my 2002 NSR.. and since getting it back i've painstakingly not gone over 5k revs (except the odd "blip"!) but now i've cleared the 500 mile run in period i've started to push it a little harder, but the engine seems to run out of puff at 9.5k and just doesn't want to go past 10k ! The bike is a French model but with a de-restricted ECU, de-restricted exhaust, carbon reeds, and home made snorkles running into a couple of holes in the roof of the airbox.. Also - the chap i bought it off said it'd had new jet's put in the carb for all the mods.. was runnin ok before the new piston and could hit the red line is all gears.. but now it cant Sad

anyone got any idea's ??

Thanks - Oliver.

i'll try to help but i need further answers :
- what do you mean by ECU , CDI unit ?
- did you change the valves flaps ?
- are you sure it's a french import ? (give me your serial number which is behing the yokes)
if possible tell me details of what you've done on your bike
also download my file https://www.geneva-racing.ch/~alains/NSRtips.doc
i am pretty sure that your valves are not openning correctly and send me a pm with your mail if you want pictures or something else
