ok, im playing around with this Excel Spreadsheet to try and work out how much im gonna get paid at work + over time etc.
I got most of this spreadsheet sorted except for the hours worked (sounds quite a large problem but not really, take a look). Enter the start time (24h clock), lunch, fin time and it should work out how many hours worked. This total ends up something like 7:30 (meaning 7.5 hours). using the spreadsheet 7:30 x hourly rate is not right, i need to automaticaly change 7:30 > 7.5! 7.5 X hourly rate works out.
This is to complicated to explain (i am a bit intoxicated), have a look, see if you can help out. ____________________ Dreams will get you nowhere, a good kick up the arse will take you a long way.

Its just the way excel works.
Always cocks things up, if you go through all the settings across the top, you need to find one where you can change the format so you get the correct sum.
Something like moving the decimal point over either way so you get 7.5 each time instead of 7.30 or 7:30.
Weird thing, ill have a play in a bit see if i can suss it out!

The 7:30 is the hours at work.
8:30 > 4:30, 30 mins for dinner is 7 and a half hours.
The sum will only work out correctly in hours and mins. so 7hours 30 mins
If you change the format to decimal, being 7.5, that would be great but it wont do it automaticaly. if you times 7:30 x hourly rate it gives you something like £0.70p if you times 7.5 x hourly rate, that works. ____________________ Dreams will get you nowhere, a good kick up the arse will take you a long way.
