Well, finished my exams and as a present my mum bought me and my bro a trackday at brands. First trackday for us both n was nervous, got there n everyone with their track bikes etc, us taking off our numberplates and taping up our mirrors lol. We had our own pits too Cool

Was a really good experience n I got the bug, I wanna go back already. Was in the novice group but was really suprised, some people looked like they had never been on a bike before. I had my knee down on quite a few of the corners, and was a first to get my left knee down too Razz

Had a good few races n was one of the better people in the group, overtaking quite alot. Had a race with 2 r1s, did me on the straight (just) and I done them on the corners. Second run out and two people came off at different times. One of them, coming up to a corner, crapped it and went straight, locked up and off in the gravel. The other crash was around that corner but went wide.

Anyway....here's some pics. First 2 are the pro pictures I bought.

And a couple of vids:

In this Vid, if you freeze frame, after the first bike, is my bro on his black r6. After that pack goes past is a red fireblade and then me, was like that for 3 laps. I did him on the corners but he did me on the straights (just)

In this vid is my bro first, then me at about 13 secs.

Was a wicked day, can't wait to do another. Very Happy

Well I payed for the whole disk £30. It was either that or £10 flat then £2 a picture. But seeing as I didn't pay for the trackday, my only money I spent was petrol and that so thought may aswell and it was end of uni/first track day so wanted to remember it.

Thanks mate, yeah gave it a good clean before I went, I love it, can throw it about like anything. Need to get used to the Duke now and take that around.

Cheers Ciaran Wink

Ty Dave, used 365 days a year n still try to keep it clean Very Happy

Yeah you need full leathers, 1 piece or 2 piece, must be attached. No wheeling, stoppieing or anything of the sort.

At Brands they say you have to go to the nearest petrol station. Turn left out of Brands and you'll be there in 20 seconds. It's not too bad as you have 2 groups, so whilst you're off you can go there and back before you start again. They don't allow filling up in the pits but I bet people do, might be able to go off the track and do it?

I used a £10 for the evening session, got 70 miles from it, about 5-10 miles was getting there though. Could always put in more fuel, should be fine.

Hey Jeff, didn't notice a blacked out R6 with Gold ASV's black headlight covers, akra exhaust and guy dressed all in black did ya?

2008 model.

need any other details just ask.

But you looked like you were killing it!

EDIT: Funny thing about your tyres, mine are down to the exact same wear mark yours are, if you go any further you deck out the pegs lmao!

Never seen people fill up in the pitlane, as you're not allowed.

In the garages it's fine. Wink
