I was just looking through old pics on my PC and it brought me back to when I actually used to enjoy road riding and when I used to enjoy stunt riding.. these days I've gone completely off road riding and find stunt riding a bit too boring!

These days I'm loving trail riding! Tempted to get a semi-touring bike (like a TDM850 or something) at some point and go see some of europe, but for now I'll stick to off road!

Anyway, point of post... heres some pics that make me remember how much fun it was back then.... Feel free to post some of your favourite fun moments!

Mostly stunt related as I have never really been "touring" or anything and seem to have lost all my oldskool BCF rideout pics Sad

is it illegal to take one or both hands off the bars?

when im just riding along on a quite road, i somtimes take my left hand off the clutch and rest it on the tank, or somtimes stretch my arms after a while on the road.

think they will pull you over for dangerous driving (or the riding equivalent)

its not really a 'stunt' in my eyes since bikes are so well balanced specialy at speed, but in the eyes of the law?

of course its dangerous or careless driving,
how thick do you have to be to think the law may let you have half the amount of steering control and be legal Laughing

i still have controll over both brakes and steering.

But your hand is on the tank yes, so you have 50% less steering power as your only using one arm, nothing to do with hovering on controls as far as pc plod cares u cud keep ur hands on the clutch the whole time your riding..

Get a TE610/G650/LC4 and combine the two ... what I'm hoping to do in October.

Have you done any enduros yet, definitely worth a go.
Hopefully when I've sorted all this house-shizzle out, I'll know where I stand moneywise and be able to get my 200 back in the game
Hmm, suppose I could take the 690 on another enduro when I get it serviced - if I get the long range tank I shouldn't need to stop for fuel at least Razz.

Once you've done a bit of off-roading after being on road bikes for years you realise how shit road bikes really are Laughing And just how pointless they are anywhere other than a track Wink

Off-road bikes = Fun.
Road bikes = Frustration.

I decided to test this theory out last weekend late at night. Was about 12.30am riding back through Wigan town center an an astra police car was behind me. I was riding along with one hand on resting on my thigh for about 4 miles an they never pulled me.

The other week when I my friend had got pulled in London, I'd gone past a load of cops before that (possible the fuse had just come out, but don't think so). Including a police van which was next to me as the badly modified 406 coupe infront of me went straight through a red light by Marble Arch.
