You can get a Yamaha Thundercat for the price of a good VFR400, and the insurance wont be that different

A good rider on a Thundercat will keep up with a good rider on a VFR. They were Yamaha's supersports 600 for a couple of years, I doubt your riding skills could push a Cat at all to be honest

It's nothing personal mate!
It's just that unless you are a trackday king you won't be able to push the bike to it's limits

If you've just been riding around on your NSR, getting on any 400 and it will feel massivly fast.

I'd be tempted to ask at www.400greybike.co.uk as there are lots of people who know lots about them all Smile
