So, following the second attempted theft of my bikes in a week I figure it's time to invest in a ground anchor, and being incredibly broke at the moment my choices are limited (£50 at the most).

I've seen *this* one in a local dealers for just short of £30, does anyone have any experience / know anyone with this anchor? Is it any good?

Thanks in advance for any input. Very Happy

Does the £50 inc the chain ???

As that will be as important, if not more so than the bit in the ground.

Cheers for the replies, I appreciate it. Very Happy

The £50 is for the ground anchor alone. I have chains and disc locks already but that hasn't stopped them trying so I just need something to secure them to. Evil or Very Mad

Thieves won't really attack the ground anchor - they'll smash the padlock.

You get hex bolts and a couple of metal ball bearings. You drill into the concrete, screw the bolts down hard and then smash the ball bearings into the end of the hex fitting so that no-one can get a hex key in there to undo them.

Then, as most have said, you can bury it in concrete afterwards for extra "you ain't getting this shit out" edness.

Dont buy one smash big hole in concrete (helps if can borrow a pneumatic drill like i did) put into hole large iron/steel bar with two small plant pots round like in diagram <> are plant pots

-<>-

Fill with concrete. When dry smash plant pots and loop chain round.
