Today has been a remarkably good day at work, only a 4-10 on a very sunny day and I was only 3 minutes late,
which is good by my standards There was also an unusually high level of truly jaw dropping talent coming through the door...
got asked out as well which was cool.
Had a nice chat with my manager and just before she left she told me that the phone lines and card terminal had been down
but she thought she had sorted it... "damn" I said, "wouldn't mind a day without the hassles of of tendering credit",
after a few failed top ups and the terminal failing to dial to the bank I realised that my wish had come true.
So without hesitation I wrote out some signs and posted one by the doorway and one on the back of the til monitor.

Knowing full well what a bunch of facktards some of our customers can be I tried to make the signs as big and obvious as possible,
with the shop door open all day I tried to position them right in central view.
For the next 3 hours all was well and much cold harsh cash went through my hands, that I like...
but I was starting to get annoyed at the fact that I was constantly having to explain to customers that we couldn't accept cards,
despite the two signs being there.
One women even replied with "It's alright, I have VISA"

Went I got back to the shop at 8 I decided to have a laugh and post this on the counter, as a final blow to all those that are so ignorant of their surroundings.

A few customers still tried to pay by card, a few even failing to notice the sign underneath their noses and
one (mothers allways hav'em) even attempting to pay by card even after reading that sign,
only to give me a very bemused look when I explained.
In all it mostly provided a bit of entertainment for the curious customers,
it did gain me one or two sour looks and even a "sorry" from a regular Scottish customer,
who then moped out unable to pay,
I felt a little bit guilty about him because he is a well manored and pleasant guy who is no hassle at all.
The real Irony is though, in literally an uninterrupted sequence,
the next four customers to walk into my shop all wore glasses and were the among the only people to read the sign on the back of the til. |

There's a fundamental flaw in this sign directed at customers who don't read signs. ____________________ Current Bikes: Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (2020)

I work in a print & photocopying shop, and have to really bite my sarcastic tongue when people come in and ask if we do photocopying.... ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |
