Road tripped out there but in the car, not on the bike - damn having to take the missus with Thumbs Down

Stayed in Blaenau Ffestiniog - hired a cottage, but there were plenty of camp sites in the surrounding area and I'm sure you'd have no problem finding one. There's some great, great roads out round the mountain from there, and down towards Bala also.

You'll enjoy the riding anyway, no doubt about that Thumbs Up

try looking at www.ukcampsites.co.uk I have found it invaluable when looking for somewhere suitable to pitch a tent.

No probs, hope you enjoy the break in Wales Thumbs Up

Don't forget to post all about it when you return. I have only camped in Barmouth, but next year I might do a small tour of wales so it would be interesting to see what you thought about it, where you went and what site you stayed at.

Went there a few weeks back, but stayed in a B&B in Llandudno.
My reccomended route is the A4086 from Caernarfon, via Llanberis & Nant peris, then back to Caernarfon along the A498, via Beddgelert and A4085.
Also the A4080 in the south of Anglesey was suprisingly good.
