Instead of Saturday, this week Thursday is going to have to be Kebab night. Friday's Chinese will have to be next Monday, but Steak pork or beef will still be on Tuesday night. All because I'm taking the kids away for ten days

Does anyone else have set nights for things?

Nope, because I'm a pathetic excuse for a functional adult: I never did get the hang of routines.
Takeaway night is usually in close proximity to payday; that's the closest I get to having a visible pattern...

Agree with nowhere.
Takeaway night for me tends to be when there's either too much dishes and too little motivation to tidy the kitchen, or when I'm feeling flush. Though if my pockets are bulging it's usually afternoon restaurant and no room for tea.
Routine is impossible when you rarely know what day it is. I have had Sunday roasts on a Tuesday before.

Monday night, fish & chips at bike meet, Wednesday night, fish and chips at bike meet, Sunday morning, bacon butty at burger bar whilst out on bike. Apart from that there is absolutely no routine to my life.

Wednesday night is music studio night. Make a lot of noise, eat kebab and talk bollocks. Although it's sometimes Tuesdays or Thursdays. Or all of them. But mostly Wednesdays.

Monday is selection day, Tuesday and Wednesday are surveillance. Thursday I actually perform the murder (tonight's should be fun, barring unforeseen circumstances) and Friday I dispose of the evidence. I have the weekend off.
