NSR 125 hesitates slightly after intake restrictor removal

as per subject, we removed the intake restrictor(only that one the rest in tact) on my bro's NSR 125(2002 UK model). he now reckons the bike hesitates slightly at 7500rpm before picking back up again.

any1 got any ideas why this is? the bike has only done about 1400 miles.

I've just done the same thing the other day - except it runs fine and if anything accelerates faster than it did at high revs.

Are you sure you reconnected all of the tubes correctly etc?

It'll probably be the flat spot showing itself (the power kicks in about the 7k mark), take out the exhaust restrictor and do the job properly. Very Happy

I don't think removing the intake restrictor has as much of an effect as removing the exhaust one. But doing both will give you the best result anyway, so get it done!

thanks for the replys guys.
sure we connected everything back as it shud be. although there were a few which wen re fitting we werent 100% about. hmm any1 got a pic of that area showing how everything should be?
