"Obstructive parking"
Bastards watched me look around the car park for a space without any luck and then park up in that little thing, I'd say it was a perfectly fine place to park. The word obstructive and the two pictures together is just absurd.

Let me know what you think :/ I already contested it 3 weeks ago, they haven't wrote back yet. ____________________ Doug97 wrote: Fuck you, what they did was awesome. Obstruction..
I could walk past that no problems.
Is it a council run carpark? if so i thought bikes could park for free in car spaces.
Send a nother letter (recoreded delivery) stating that this was a good place to park as it is the right size for a motorcycle and that you freed up spaces for PAYING cars to park.
If anything a rewards in order |

is that the entrance to the carpark? If so then I would say from those pics that yes, you are obstructing it but you wouldn't have been if you'd gone a couple of feet further into the space......... ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

Lets just say a push bike was parked there, or leaning against that little fence, would you get a fine for that?
A motorcycle is basically a push bike with an engine, so you have your rights. "Obstructive" that's bit of an insult
I just think the traffic warden was bored shitless, and found fining you was the easiest option and best way to cure his boredom... |

Found this link on another thread:
https://www.ticketfighter.co.uk/private.htm
The first line reads: "Firstly the important thing to remember is that Private Parking Companies are not backed by any aspect of criminal law" lol |

I've already sent them a letter that looks like this
| Quote: | I'm writing to contest a parking ticket received on 20th July 2009, at around 16:00.
I am appealing because the Parking Charge Notice was based on 'Obstructive Parking', when my parking and the positioning/location of my vehicle was not obstructive. My vehicle is a moped, the car park was full of cars and there we no spaces available so I parked in what could be described as the end of a row of parking spaces. It was between a railing and another car. The car in the space next to me still had more than enough room to open all car doors fully and my vehicle was not obstructing any other vehicle or person in the car park or outside of it.
As you can see on the picture provided, my parking was not obstructive in any way and as far as my knowledge goes, perfectly acceptable.

thell send back "appeal rejected, pay up" or something similar. PPC cannot fine you like the council can, its an unenforceable invoice worded in such a way that makes it look like a council PCN. If you do ignore from now on, they will send you more letters threatning court action, kidnapping your dog, and all sorts, but after about 5 letters theyll move on and target another victim.
as Geri says, ask on the pepipoo forums, they will reassure you and give you proper reasons why you should ignore it, im on there myself at the moment asking for advice on a council PCN i recieved yesterday there very good. ____________________ YBR 125 |
