Car Insurance

I'll be taking driving lessons and plan to pass my car test in the next couple of months, I'm 24 and have had a full motorcycle license for over a year, and had my provisional since I was 17 (~7years).

When doing some quotes online, I get CHEAPER premiums by a considerable margin by entering UK Provisional held for 7 Years than entering Full UK for less than 1 year. WTF?

I hate insurance companies.

Perhaps calling one up (maybe not a broker) and explaining gaining a liscence shouldnt make you a higher risk might mean you are not getting a computer deciding your fate.

What causes the insurance premiums to shoot up is the fact that on a provisional you have to have someone who has held a licence for x amout of years sat in the car next to you. With a full licence you are out there on your own without anyone to give you a kick up the jaxy if you are about to make a dire mistake thus meaning you are higher risk.
