We gave it a FRICKIN' good caning through the lanes and I've got to say, it's bloody fun. Perhaps not as easy going and forgiving as my teggy can be but a right hoon none the less Twisted Evil

I'd driven one years ago when another mate had a 92 model, and I have to be honest I didn't like it then Rolling Eyes That said I think it'd wind me up day to day, but on a pure backroad blat when it's someone else's car and you've got nothing to do but kick the crap out of it down some lanes you know well and he's in the passenger seat turning white and when you finally finish the lane the brakes are stinking their way through into the cabin ....... Job thoroughly well done Laughing

Ahh the person i remember argueing about pulsars on here about, well my brothers just bought a skyline gtst, and he says its boring to drive compared to a pulsar, skylines power all in the range, pulsar was nothing nothing then Bang in it comes like a 2stroke.
What kind of mods has that one got done then?

Yeah it can be a little like that although they're not that laggy in standard trim Smile Certainly takes off over 4k

This one's standard, bar an air filter and the super sticky tyres. It's still got a rubbish gearbox and it understeers a lot (albeit the tyres help cancel that a fair bit) but you can't beat rinsing someone else's motor for a couple of hours Smile

R33, in white looks quite nice, has loads of mods, we've just set up the laptop as its got a adjustable blitz ecu etc, so he can plug it in and change all the settings in seconds.

He said the traction being there was better on the pulsar too, i bet he gets another, his used to be a little rocket. your mates would so much better with a great big fmic in there.

Yeah, it needs some bits done but I reckon he'll stick with it being roughly standard - I may engineer him a set of Brembos on there but that's about it I reckon.

33 GTS-t's are good - 4WD always going to narc RWD for traction and it'll take him some getting used to I reckon. Hope he gets on with the RB anyways fella Smile

its the front gill its eye sore the rest looks ok even the big tail the grill needs removing

4wd and around 260ishhp from standard if im right in thinking

Not really my cup 'o tea as far as Jap cars are concerened but still nice.

It had the b13 twin turbo engine from wgt in middlewich. Spun up around 410 bhp at the wheels, I could have gone up to 500 but money was tight.

I miss that car it was fun. Cool

Alot of the stories on the nets is true, reliability for the rx7's was/is indeed piss poor. Mine needed a full engine rebuild about 6 month after i bought it, thats when i decided to spunk a bit on cash into it and ended up with the engine conversion, new gearbox and uprated clutch, suspension, intercooler, exhaust system etc. I ended up spending around 9k on all the work but christ was it worth it!!!!!!

Is it true that RX-7s are only good for short people? Remember seeing an ebay ad saying if you're over 6ft, you won't fit.

No, i'm 6'1 about 17 stone and fit into it very easily and comfortably, no back seats to speak of though so no good for 4 adults, could fit my eldest lad in the back (just) and he was about 7.

The problem i found was that when i went shopping and parked in the multi-story, the gaps were to narrow as the doors opened really wide, so was a bit of a maul getting in and out in tight spaces. Also, fuel economy wasn't the best.
