Brilliant bike. Best handling bike I've owned. 1994. repainted by a previous owner in pearl coat... I wasn't sure at first but I've grown to like it alot.

Always just done BIN or classified. I really can't be bothered with all the crap that goes with auctions. People bidding last minute rather than just buying it there and then.

I wouldn't pay more than a grand for it.

99p auction with no reserve, and then try for the sale outside of ebay.

Worked for me. Wink

You just end it if it's not making the money you expect.

It's taking a risk but bunging it on a 99p auction means there is a good chance of people getting "bidding fever" and paying more than you expected.

I got a lot more for the one bike I sold like that than I was expecting. It was a total shitheap and was extensively described as such. You can get a good idea if it'll sell well by the number of watchers even if noone bids 'till the last minute.

My one piece of advice is to describe the entire bike, warts an all, in minute detail. People like to know exactly what they are bidding for.

I had mine on a classified rather than a BIN. £13 and it's on for a month rather than the 10 days, also there's no final fees. Mine sold in 2 days.

i sold my van via a classifields ad in 2 days too.The problem with a auction is you get people that arnt serious bidding, with a classifields ad, people come and look around it, like in the good old days Wink (acording to my old man!!)

MCN classifieds is good, ive sold a couple of bikes on there. Had people all over the country contacting me.

Ebay if full of very annoying peopel looking for a bargain, i doubt you would get what that bike is worth on Ebay.

A goof YZF should sell easy.

Oh no, I wasn't implying that - if the same bike were down here, it would generally go for less money is what I was implying. Bikes up north tend to go for more.
