As im buying a VFR400 nc30 somewhere in september i just wanted to know if its acceleration time is fster than the nsr...i heard that its actually crap compared to a two stroke...whats its 0-60 timing??

They're about 55bhp. Compare that to the NSR which is about 27bhp de-restricted I think you'll notice the difference.

err...should be better than the NSR125...Unless you've put on an alarming amount of weight in between changing bikes?

An NSR (or even a scooter Rolling Eyes) would probably be able to stay alongside you up to about 30-40mph, but then the 400 would hit the powerband and leave it standing. The standard gearing on the VFR would also mean that you can still be in first gear up to 60.

In terms of weight, the VFR is a good 30+kg heavier than the NSR, but is actually lower, so the weight distribution should compensate and offer great maneouvrebility.

Compared to an equivalent capacity (sports-bike oriented) 2-stroke (i.e. 250, or possibly 400), 4-strokes will always be second best in performance (look at the 500cc 2-strokes against the 990cc 4-strokes in MotoGP).
