Hi

I got myself an R-K and it needed some work. I could only get a swing arm from a NSF as I was told it would fit. The suspension assembly doesn't line up 100% but fits, the back is a fair bit higher than before and the swing arm is an inch wider so the bolt isn't long enough.

Is it worth trying to modify the swing arm or am I waisting my time?
There is a box just under the tank on the left hand side. What is it for?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks for reading this and hope you can help

The box is a tool box, as for the rest i'm unsure. Check ebay for the proper swingarm, otherwise a modified one could screw with the handling.

I thought that but there is a tool box on the back of the bike. never seen a bike with 2 tool boxes before.

The steering doesn't seem that steep even with the extra hight. It should drop a bit once I get the engine and the other bits back in place.

Fairly sure one from an NS125F should fit an NS125R. Do you have an NSR125 or an NS125, and is the arm from an NS125 or an NSR125?

All the best

As above, NS-R and NS-F's are the same bike in different styles so parts are interchangeable.

Got any pics of troubling parts?

Right I am still not sure about this swing arm. I have a manual for the NS125R and I covers the N125F but doesn't say If there is a difference in the swing arm. So they should be the same. I think it could be one of these reasons.

1) The swing arm isn't orignal from an F model.
2) Someone has bent the arms apart.
3) The rear wheel from an F is wider than an R.

Oh and here is a pic of the gap. Sorry the pic is fuzzy.

Hi

I have an NS125F in pieces and just compared its swinging arm with that on a crashed NS12R I have for spares and they are the same width.

You can see here:-

Thanks Keith.

When you have time could you give me the inside measurement of the swing arm and is the F swing arm made out of larger tubes than the R or are they identical?

Thanks for your help again.
