The song as a ring tone, or are you wanting to play the song to people who call you? Confused

I've never heard of such a service over here.

Carriers in thailand offer a service to replace the ring tone when your dialing someone with some music. I had no idea what the hell was going on when some thai girl was singing to me when ringing my dad once. This isn't what call centers do though. The call is picked up instantly then your listening to a machine play you music.

Good luck hunting it down, you'd think carrier would offer it more openly if it existed, kids would buy it up like crazy, so i dont think you will find it, otherwise more would of heard of it by now.

Ste, people who call me.

Summy, it is a service offered by ever UK carrier although not many people use it, I noticed a work mate has it on his phone a month or 2 back, he only knew it was a dial tone but not to get it. I'v looked into it a bit, but info is rare. Orange offer some on their wap thingy but not the one I'm after - they charge like 1.50 for the download then like a quid a month to use it.

They are done through your provider. You arn't able to put up your own ones, you can just choose from what they offer.

Unfortunatly, as far as I'm aware, you can ONLY get it through your provider and can't do it through anyone else.

I've used it with Orange in the past. It can really confuse people that call you!
