Hi peeps,

been to see a bike, it's 03 reg, and it's missing the most of the fairing on the front of the bike, it's done about 300 miles, no oil leaks, new tires, mechanicaly clean and spot on..
just need a set of indicators

i can get the bike pretty cheap, i would just like your veiws on the bike.

How much would you pay for it?

Thanks in advance...

Does't matter how cheep the bike is if it's not straight. Check for buckled front wheel! If the bikes straight I'd agree with Robby and Scotty at £2000.

Will be definatly checking this and other bits on it too..

Well to be honest, i can get this bike for £1250.. delivered to my house and i can get all the fairing (new) for £400.. so lets see what happens tomorrow, if it ain't sold already..

Sounds a good deal, go for it if your checks prove it's ok.

For that money assuming its straight and there is nothing wrong with it (but there wouldn't realy be after 300miles) then I would definatly take it Smile Even if you didn't like it you could still sell it on at a profit Smile

Better to an HPI check (can't believe the no one has mentioned that yet) to make sure that it isn't a write-off. If it's Cat C, I wouldn't bother, personally, and if it's Cat D, then maybe £1200 for it.

There are lots of fairly newish NSRs on the used market nowadays, so keep your options open.

Cat. A cannot be done anything with, ie cant be broken or put back on the roads

Cat B. can be broken, but not put back on the road

C and D are scrapped for cost reasons and can be broken or put back on the road

Is there something wrong with that front caliper or are my eyes a bit buggered?

As mentioned above check if for HPI and straightness.

Whats happened to it? was it stolen & recovered or something? just seems strange that both sides of the fairing are missing. usually in a drop or spill it would just damage one side......

Yes, when I registered an Aprilia a few weeks back there was a poster up in the DVLA office. Think this has only just come in.

All the best
