road trip..

ok so i dident realy go THAT far...

but its the furthist i been so far

the trip: from york to helmsley

the bikes/mopeds: sym city hopper 50cc in blue (mine)
kymco agility rs 50cc in yellow (mates)

now then what started as a normal day and a trip to Tesco on the mopeds to buy some lunch we met a very nice biker who suggested we should go up to Helmsley as we were trying to think of somewhere to go so we went and bought some 2 litre bottles of coke and some sandwiches and set off now from york to helmsley is about 28 miles witch on mopeds is a long way thankfully mine is derestricted and will do 40 however i was stuck behind my slow coach friend (who's isn't derestricted) then about 10 mins along the road he pulled over and dropeed his bike and started paniking so i ran over to him and a pool of blood some how hed got a nosebleed so i sorted the bikes out and took some photos
then we sett off again stopping a few times for some photos when we got there at about 4,30 the weather was lovely and we sat at the statue talking to a few of the other bikers we took some nice photos and sett off home this time DOWN HILL i think thats the fastest my moped has ever been all in all it was a nice ride out and i think im getting a taste for it planing on getting a 125cc soon
we stoped half way back in Stillington which is about half way and had a drink then set back off and were home for 6.30 if anyone lives in the york area and fancy s comeing along next time give me a message im also open to suggestions of where else there is to go to near ish to york

it cost us about half a tank there and back and we had a great day here are some photos for you

in all we had a lovely day and plan on goeing again soon (after he gets his bike deresticted)

Looks like you had a good time and took some good pictures too.

Keep up the distances Seeing new places is a big part of the enjoyment from riding and it gets more and more fun as the engine size grows

And you can have a karma cookie for sorting the bikes and taking photos while your make was bleeding to death

It's hell going long distances on a scooter, so props for having the patience I did about 100 miles (there and back) in the freezing cold on my 125cc scooter and it was bloody horrible Got home and had to jump in the shower because I couldn't stop shaking. Scooters don't like wind either, was lucky if I averaged 40mph It's always a lot more fun going on adventures with mates as well, unlucky for me as my only mate with a bike came off it and can't ride for a few months!

Me and another guy off the forum (blindweezy) are planning a wee trip to london - be that on bigger bikes if we've passed our tests by then or on the 125's using back roads...

Is it just me.... or do both the guys in the photos look about 12

Anyway, keep it up

Once you get a bigger engine size you can up the distances
