Yes Razz

I wouldn't pay more than about £700 for a full system if I had the cash Sad

However, if it's what you want, and you can afford it, go for it Cool Cool

I was once seriously contemplating it, but then all of the costs added up...

£1100 is optimistic - you need to bear in mind that you'll be raped by the customs - that'll probably be another £250 in VAT and charges Sad
You also need to bear in mind that it is a race system, so it's not as if you can just change the can over quickly if you had to.

RLR Motorsports (do a Google search) do similar systems for about £600, but they definately need rejetting and also mods to your indicators etc.

I personally don't see the point of spending too much money on a 400...

Spoke to a uk company who can do me an sp2 style high level system with dual purple carbon fibre end cans Cool would match my smokey joe paint work.

The reason i want to lavish so much on an rvf400 is because i adore the bike, its handling, the way its engine behaves, the sound and the slightly cheaper insurance Smile plus i wont stand as much chance to kill myself! Shocked

just a quickie,, dont know if this is stupid, but i read n performance bikes i think that you can get cans that are road legal, but if you undo a few screws and stuff and remove something they become race cans?? are these not the answer to law and sound problems???

Some have removeable baffles, I think IXIL do them. Then there's the Blueflame one's with the port cover which converts it to road legal. The problem is, cops don't like aftermarket cans full stop so they'll screw you for anything if they really want to.

I've got a Wolf can with an E-marked removable baffle, which fits nicely under the seat of the Blade Very Happy

Hi

It is unlikely to get through the MOT. For the MOT it must be the original exhaust or must have a British Standard stamp (BSAU193 I think). To be sold in the UK an exhaust must either display that stamp or a "Not for road use" stamp. The 2nd is meant to be an automatic MOT fail. I think it is an offence for a shop to supply an exhaust which is not correctly marked (sorry, reading an old 1987 bike magazine last night from when this law was brought in).

If the exhaust has an official E mark it may be OK, but I don't know about that

All the best

Keith

Take a look at the SWONA stacked system, a mate has one and the quality of it is unbelievable (plus it looks and sounds the dogs danglies). It costs 700 quid with a choice of silencers - titanium, Carbon or Kevlar. I currently have a jha full system and the quality cant even compare with the Swona which is just beautiful.

Here are a few photo's of the RVF system.
