Obviously this only applies if you commute in a car generally. What are your choice stations when commuting to and from work?

I am now nearing the end of my 2nd month of my new job and I am commuting 30 miles each way, so my radio is my way of making the journey more exciting and staying awake! I started by listening to radio 1, but either I am getting too old or chris moyles is just not funny and all of the crew love the sound of their own voice too much. I also find it too shouty first thing in the morning. Scott mills is alright on a Friday evening with floorfillers, but it doesn't do much for me.

I would be listening to talksport, but alan brazil pisses me off and the AM frequency is rubbish in my area and I'm undecided whether I want to splash out on a DAB car radio. Bowtime on the way home is brilliant though.

This morning I tried out radio 2 and I was pleasantly surprised. I love the smooth tones of wogans voice and the music is perfect for the morning aswell. Chris Evans drivetime is OK, but not great.

Your opinions?

Radio 2 is about the most tolerable. If wogan starts getting on your nerves, and on some mornings he will, he will be gone in a few months anyway.

But then there will be no escape from the ginger twat. Crying or Very sad

Radio 4 is good. Look up the schedule and see what's on.

Flick between 5live / Radio 1 in the morning.
Then talk sport for Parry and Townsend if you're still in the car after 10.

Afternoon it's usually flicking between 5live drive, and radio 1 (i.e. ever time they put a crap tune on, so most of the time).

Bowtime on talk sport does my head in. They just talk about the same 1 sport story for like 3 hours.

Been a while since I was listening in the morning at commuting time, used to be Radio 1 and Chris Moyles until Jo Whiley came on, then I switched off because I can't stand her.

These days I tend to stick with Heart FM as it's replaced a lot of local stations now so is fairly national with the same playlist just localised adverts and full of 80's music so perfect, get's a bit samey though. Radio 4 is good for tuning into current affairs talks and wotnot occasionally as they give people a good grilling but no idea what is on in the mornings as I listen after midday while at work.

ClassicFM if you can hack it..

When working I either have a CD in or my iPhone plugged in, but if I do have the radio on it's Radio 2, Classic FM, or if I'm within the M25, Magic FM.

I used to listen to Capital because I like Johnny Vaughan, but I hate the music they play so then moved onto Radio 1, like said above they like the sound of their own voices a bit too much. I gave Absolute a go as I like the wide range of music they play, unfortunately most of the DJs annoy the crap out of me! I have now moved on to Xfm which is great, the only bad part is that the signal strength round my home is poor...
