That has been sat for 2 years not moved since the rider got banned.

Petrol tank has not been drained.

Its fightered and looks awful.

And 2nd gear is fucked.

I'm thinking £500 max would be a fair price.

But the owner want's 2k apparently.

Wouldn't pay a grand for it, can get around the same age TLR1000 for a few hundred quid more than 1k.

I'd pay about £650 max.. it's bound be have been ragged no end, not cared for, badly modified, gubbed 2nd gear, and it's an R6.

The years power ranger tool, 9 years of ragging. The first thing I thought was "gear box problems", sure enough your post opens with 2nd gear problems!

I'd ask not how much to pay, but rather can you sort the thing out?

Looking at the guides online to the gearbox issue with out a doubt I can do that myself.

So its a case of getting it.

And paying £550 for a gs500 is absurd when a friend bought a 3 year old one for that much 2 years ago. Surprised

Tell him to take a running jump, I wouldn't pay £2k for an R6 that was working.

I paid 1250 for mine when it was working fine. Get it for 500 and ill buy it for 600 when you fail at gearboxes.

take it doing the 03 box is no harder than replacing the internals of the current one ?

And £500 quid I'll offer Mr. Green

Honestly don't know the ins and outs of it, I just know that it's a reasonably common mod when the 99-02 gearbox lunches second.

There's probably an online guide somewhere.....
