Help With Yamaha TZR 125 4HW

Hi all, i am new to this so bare with me. lol. I have just bought a tzr 125 in need of some attention. well a lot. I was wondering if anyone has any parts for sale or nows anyware i could get some?

The first quesyen i have is, Can you weld your engine as i have a crack in the topend neer the cylinder cover. Any help would be great.

I wouldn't like to weld the top end it'd be impossible to get it lined up perfectly so there'd always be space in the barrel for air to pass through.

I have welded the top gasket face of a few engines when I have wanted to enlarge the transfers as part of some tuning work.
it`s not usually a problem as long as the welder can do a good job.

just make sure that all parts being welded are free of oil etc.
and be prepared to do a little filing afterwards to get rid any distortions from the gasket face, the gaskets are designed to help seal SMALL gaps

i was going to get some for my bike but there really bad.
there not even made of decient materials so when your out on a dusty dirt road or motorway the smallest stone can put a crack in them.
and there said to be a pig to fit fixing not lining up and things.
go with a respray.
