Where is the indicator relay on a NSR 125? Me and wblake are trying to replace his (the indicators are flashing irregularly), but we can't find where it is.

irregular ticking can be down to a dodgy/low battery so you might wanna check that before looking deeper into the problem.

I don't think it's due to a low battery - the bike is only 3 or 4 months old and they're brand new indicators.

We found the relay, but the new one is the wrong type (has 3 pins, we need a 2-pin). When connected up, the indicators just stay on continuously instead of flashing. He's off to get a different one now, and I'll let you all know how it goes (not that anyone cares).

Could be the whole replacement indicator thing for the NSR again. What did I just say in my post about a year ago, the indicator thing was about then too. Laughing

If he's change the indicators for replacement ones, its likely that the relay isn't suppling enough power for them. Solution is replacement relay or replace a couple of the blubs to bring the required voltage usage down to what the relay supplies.

I think that the third pin is usually just a ground, so you just need to make sure that it's someone touching the frame or something. Or yes, you can just take it back to the shop and get a different one Razz

Thanks for all the reply's. I have now got them flashing at a normal rate thanks to the two pin relay.

Cheers,

Will
