..... gave me a complimentary hot chocolate to warm my chilled bones when I stopped for petrol at about midnight.

Noone else in store so we were chatting for about ten mins while I warmed up. Was a very welcome suprise so thank you very much if you ever read this!!

Thinking about it, the cold has sort of crept up on me....

Its getting quite cold at night after sundown.

its only cold now because the lack of clouds keeping the heat in as well noticed that the last few days with the hot sun and no clouds

maybe, but even with my hole filled summer gloves i still havnt had winter burn yet. so as far as i'm concerned, its still warm.

Because it's such a surprise to people that it's turning cold.

Threads complaining about how it turns cold around this time of year are just as predictable as the threads at the start of summer complaining about people riding in shorts and t-shirt.

There's still lots more BCF crashes to happen involving people who've not realised/remembered that cold wet tarmac doesn't offer as much grip as warm dry tarmac.
