Hey folks, Ben here, been reading for ages and finally on a bike so thought i'd share :]

I've been real short on cash for ages but saved up a little bit and got a Kymco CK 125 for about ?400 (my family in Taiwan all ride them, it's the taiwanese CG125 I suppose).

It's nothing special but when it roars (read: coughs) into life in a morning i'm smilin Very Happy

I'll post a couple of pictures once my village defrosts, but for now i've 2 questions:

1) I have to ride to Peterborough on Saturday to the Passport Office - 110 miles, do you think I need thermals? D:

2) I've just got a long awaited promotion so i'm looking at saving for a 250 now that I have some freedom to spend - any advice on these?

Thankyou! ^^

Yup - dont get one. Assuming that if you intend to get a 250 then you have passed your test in some form or another? If so get a bigger bike and restrict it if necessary. Especially if you frequently travel long distances.

I agree with Darth, if you're going for the bike test or have done it then best to get a 400 or something that can get you to 33bhp, i like the suzuki sv650 in this power range (well restricted slightly)
hope the ride to peterboro went OK, i know it's quite a treck from Lincoln
