weird moped problem?

Im currently fixing a gilera storm, now the carb is all cleaned out etc and rebuilt properly, pipes all attatched properly, very strong spark, but whenever i go to start the bike it doesnt start? it hasnt got an electric start yet so i have to kick it... it doesnt even start when i put petrol straight into the barrel. we did have the petrol and oil tanks drained out but i cant figure out what the problem is at all?any ideas?

Try spraying easystart through the carb.

have you checked the reeds can open freely

had a bike that had been sat for a while and they were stuck shut.

just a idea.

havent checked that yet no, have never touched reeds before, is there anything i should know about them before touching them lol
