So i'm going to be getting a second hand iphone & i'm not wanting to pay monthly, just a PAYG. I'm also wanting unlimited internet access.

This is where i get confused. O2 seem to do the following.

Pay Monthly
1200 UK texts / 600 UK mins
with Unlimited Web Bolt On

What's the difference between this & paying monthly then as i want something i can't go over my usage, just a normal top up but with unlimited internet.

Can't say this'll help much but my story goes like:

Went to O2 shop to swap my non-3G SIM with a 3G SIM.
To do so I had to top up with £10 or something.
I bought the web & wifi bolt-on but it "got lost" (£10)
I complained.
They gave me £10 extra credit and I've had FREE Web & WiFi for 10 months now. Thumbs Up

Well I'd guess the key difference is the fact that you are on a £20 a month contract but, unlike most new contracts, you don't get a free phone, hence the cheap tariff. If you use £20 or more a month usually then your quids in, if not then the dream is over I guess.
