We've got a few ancient Acoustic Research 900Mhz wireless speakers dotted about, with a sender connected to the main hifi. They work quite well, have a built in lead gel battery (but we use the mains adaptors) and you can select whether they're left, right or mono so you can use them in pairs or on their own. We've also got a couple of pairs of 900Mhz headphones that use the same sender, handy for when I can't sleep and want to watch a film at night.
It helps that our house isn't big though - they work in the garden, but that's only about 20' from the sender, going through 2 walls. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I have a couple of these:

They get their music streamed from the pc (wireless or wired) or get internet radio straight through your router.
Can be individually controlled or synchronised so the same music plays on 2 or more devices.
