hi i was working on a job and there was a 53 plate aprilia in the shed so i asked about it the grandson passed his test in the car and left it the piston is solid is there any thing i can do without stripping it lasts road tax was 2006 it has 7500 on the clock any help please

its a 2 stroke, it takes 5 mins to strip down the head,
4 bolts and the whole head is off,
don't be scared, they are simple.

basically if you try and run the bike with out stripping it down first,
you may and probably will score the barrel,
and what was a 10 quid fix for new rings and a quick hone, has turned into a 100quid job for a rebore, oversized piston and rings.

hi there i took the head off and moved the barrel up and down without taking it off as exhaust wold not move the kick start is solid will this mean the bottom end is seized
