 |
|
Hi All,
Just got home in the car and noticed this blue line on the front tyre.. It's on both sides.
I've had a quick look around the net and cant see too much about it really.
The tyres are the BT-016s so multi-compound. The blue seems to start where the softer side compound is.
I've posted a link below with a picture of the tyre.

Pressures appear to be correct at last check (done a check this weekend before going out).
Any thoughts about whether or not this is a problem? I was out
this weekend on it and it felt ok and hadn't really noticed it before.
Cheers

I've had them do that. Seems to happen if you get them hot then they sit for a few days.
I wondered if it was part of the silicone content of the compound leaching out then oxidising.
Doesn't seem to affect the performance in any case. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Its to do with heat cycling as the heat brings the oils in the rubber to the surface. Just means you were ragging it and got the tyres fairly hot. |
