Thought I'd just add some more info while I have the time....

Brand new beowulf end can £155

New downpipe system £400

New LH switchgear £118

That was all this June so the work done in june alone amounts to more than I paid, hell of a lot of old paperwork, receipts, invoices, ever MOT since it was imported.

Very Happy Very Happy

Get rid of the green and it would be a bit of a bargain. Horrendous price for switchgear aside.

Love these bikes, I would get another one if they weren't more expensive than equivalent 600s.

£650 seems a bargain though, even with the naff graphics, sorry graffix Laughing

what fucking mug paid those prices?

Plenty of people around who pay those prices, people who get serviced at main dealers or if they need a part go to them or even David Silver for it. People can be thrifty in the most absurd ways and then blow 100x what they've been saving by paying £500 to get a warning light on their car turned off by Ford etc.. you should appreciate their existence, it provides us with opportunity.

point is he got it for £650 which isn't a bad price for a Gullarm of any mileage. Aslong as there's no major problem lurking or lots of smaller ones which can add up (forks, shock etc). The green stickers do need to go though but it looks like they may be painted on and the paintjob needs finishing off or just redoing as it looks like a rattle can job with no prep or finishing work or lacquer.

Don't look at me about the prices, got invoices for all of them though

I agree, need to get rid of the green, it's painted on though and yes it's a shit rattle can job, no lacquer either chipped some of the paint off the tank yesterday, might touch it up it's only black.

Done a couple hundred miles since I got it and it seems perfect, flew through MOT in may with no advisories so I can't see there being any major problems. Sounds awesome too!

If I do the paint, Ill prob just go over the green with black and lacquer it, get a few honda stickers to go on the fairing and tank too, don't want to take it apart though really.

Early Fireblade heel plates are tidier than the crappy plastic ones you get on it and it looks as though someone has taken the original foot pegs off and fitted fatter ones, enjoy the camgear whine through the gears, Thumbs Up

I'm with you on the heelplates, the plastic ones are shite. I'll have to look for a breaking blade, or just some on their own.

Top speed is a meagre 106mph but is restricted to 33bhp so not bad I don't think.

Just look for some on ebay/breaker and make sure you buy a pair as i was sold some from a breaker who gave me different years and one had an extra line of holes drilled in them.

Just looked on the bay and they are a bit pricey.

I had blade ones on my '96 and some laser cut tarty ones on my '94. Shame, the guy who did them doesn't seem to be on ebay anymore, they were good for little money.

Oh, and gis a go, mister... Angelic

You have to look underneath the cosmetics. How much effort does it take to sort out the green crap? Not a lot! It's a great runner and handles really nice, and for £650 I'd like to see someone find a better deal!

I would have a look for some blade heelplates but I'm in the process of getting leathers to replace my crappy textile trousers for the new bike, so maybe after I've sorted that out...

I think it's a good deal to be honest, they're pricey for what they are.

Don't worry about that guy, every post he makes is deliberately confrontational Laughing
