iv heard rumours that they are putting the age up to 24 in august for your bike test, anyone else heard about it? i havnt found anything in MCN or any other biking mags just a friend happened to mention it to me, he may be wrong. thanks

That would be the EU 3rd Directive on Driver Licensing (BMF link opens pdf) it's not law yet but is under consideration, it may be presented to parliment 2010-11 in order to become law by 19/01/2011 However, given the year our next government is going to have I wouldn't worry about it too much, they've only just implemented the 2nd directive... Rolling Eyes

I have passed my A2 restricted test (being 18) in July 2009, if the laws change before I get my unrestricted license will it mean re-testing on my behalf?

no definitely not, you passed your test under the current laws requirements any changes they make after that doesnt affect anyone who has a full licence, restricted or otherwise. so u can relax Smile
