Will a Vx 125 slip straight into a DNA 125? I was told i would have to change a gear or something.

should be a straight swap, i beleive they are the same engines,
why not go for the 2 stroke engine??? or the 180??
seems like if your going to do the work, you may as well beef it up at the same time Very Happy

DNA 50 is 2 stroke, the 125 and 180 are 4 stroke if I remember correctly.

the 125 also comes as a 4 stroke, hense why i think he was asking the question about the vx125 engine.
i would go for the 180cc engine if it were me,
(well actually i would go for the 2 stroke) be he obviously wants an easy change over.
