I'm now the proud owner of a VFR400 NC24..... Mechanically sound, cosmetically - well thats a different story!

Looks like shes been down on the left hand side quite badly, scraped/cracked fairings + one of fairing mounts has gone

She needs a new front sprocket - so i'll replace chain + sprockets soon then i'll get to work on tidying her up and restoring her to her former glory!...

I haven't got any pics at the mo - Just got back from a nice 180mile ride..... so i'll sort something tomorrow/day after and upload and keep you guys updated with whats going on!

It won't be anything near as good as what craig did with his NC30, but it should be okay when its finished!

Nah they sound like hair driers AT high revs with a standard can. Have you considered one of those fibreglass body kits? The only thing that really fairs with age on a VFR is its looks.

How long have you had it for?

I wouldn't go spending any money on an NC24 until you have a couple of thousand miles on it and are sure of the mechanical condition. They're really, really shit.

Slight update - been scouring high and low for a full fairing set, found one for a decent price, and after looking at some pictures seems of decent quality.

Plan is to order it, then have it sprayed similar to this that i have roughed up.

Grey = Matt Black, Black = Gloss Black, Red = Gloss Red, White = Pearl White

I've noticed over time Robby, you really don't like NC24's.

Any reason in particular?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
