Just went through a quote for the missus's scooter.
What a nightmare!
Now insurance quote was for TPF&T, which was ok.
Then added on legal cover including bike etc., which was nice.
Then could add on another amount so I'd get back the no claims policy excess.
That's the no claims policy excess back, all £500, with a fault or no fault accident.
The guy was insistent it did cover a fault accident as I was slightly incredulous.
I'm asking myself is this worth it? does it work? anyone any experience of this?
I won't ask you to confirm if I've been ripped off, it's insurance, I already know the answer
Obviously I'll be scanning the policy document when it arrives through the post (strikes allowing) very, very carefully.

Stuff the legal cover, odds on you have it with your house ins....
Even if you don't then there are plenty of no win no fee to assist you when its not your fault.
Protected NCB is a joke. Most companies it is onl if you stay with them anyway.....
Take a look at your renewal quotes and work out how often you stay with the same co....
As to the other bit....
If its not your fault then you get your excess back from the 3rd party. Thats part of the legal claim....
As you are TPF&T, Then it will only come into play with theft or fire. But if you reduce your excess down to the min poss. Does the price go up by more then the policy price ?
Personally tell em to shove it. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

Legal protection is a load of balls tbh, your better off using a "No win, no fee" solicitor.
There's a member of the forum that works for https://compenclaim.co.uk/ (Username CompenClaim i think) He's someone that I have known of for some time, and he seem's a pretty alright guy, and knows his stuff ____________________
